I am very thankful to the Barrier Reef Orchestra for the amazing opportunities rehearsing and performing with the orchestra has granted me. Over the years it has been one of my favourite pastimes, and it has helped my musical skills immeasurably.

I am also thankful to the Management Committee for awarding me the Barrier Reef Orchestra Encouragement Award for 2018. I have primarily used the money received to purchase music to expand my French horn repertoire, and the remainder to purchase a new music stand and mutes for the horn.
